Materials Needed

Start with white or off white walls that are painted with flat, eggshell or semi-gloss. Check your garage to make sure you have a roll of masking tape and bucket so you will be ready to go when the Cloudwash kit arrives. Everything else is included with the kit.

Keep an extra rag handy to wipe the back of your hand after you dip your cloth in the bucket. If you are colorwashing over carpet it is best to cover it up. If you have a drop cloth or plastic great. If you have some of those funky old curtains that have the rubber backing and have been looking for an excuse to purge them for your life, now is your chance. They make great drop cloths. If you do get some colorwash on the carpet, clean it by dabbing with a most cloth and then wiping with a dry cloth like you would with water-based paint.

If you are colorwashing over hardwoods and need to wipe some off. Use a damp cloth and some elbow grease. The same is true with light switch covers.
